POSTPARTUM CARE

Schedule a consultation to discuss my services and what kind of support you are looking for. There is no charge for this.

Often times, so much preparation is put into the pregnancy and birth, and postpartum recovery becomes an afterthought. The heart of postpartum care is to mother the mother. A family shouldn’t just survive this time, but should feel whole and care for.

At the beginning of our visit we will identify goals for that day. With a newborn in the house, often times each day looks different. Support may include:

  • Recovery guidance and information

  • Emotional support

  • Latch assessment

  • Infant soothing and massage

  • Parent attachment & bonding

  • Newborn care (bathing, diapering)

  • Baby wearing

  • Womb wrapping

  • Light kitchen tidying

  • Sibling transition

  • Breast pump assistance (correct use & washing)

  • Education and referrals

  • Additional support & resources surrounding postpartum depression and other mood disorders

  • Healing food preparation
